Business websites

Make it easier for customers to understand your business and take the next step.

A business website should explain what you offer, show relevant work and make it straightforward to enquire, book or buy. We help you plan the content and build the journey around those needs. Digital Marvels is based in Liverpool and works with businesses across the UK.

What you need online

A website with a clear job to do

A new business website

Useful when you need a credible place to explain your services, answer common questions and receive enquiries. We agree the pages and content needed for your audience.

An existing site that needs work

Useful when content is hard to follow, mobile pages are awkward or the site no longer reflects the business. We review what to keep before planning a redesign.

An online shop

Product information, browsing, basket and checkout journeys shaped around your catalogue. Payment, delivery, tax and stock requirements are agreed with the relevant providers during scoping.

An enquiry or booking journey

Help visitors choose a service, provide useful information and understand the next step. We check whether an existing booking product or a custom workflow is the better fit.

Inspect the work

See how a commerce interface fits together

The Mercato project entry covers its interface, available functionality and limitations. A visual example is a starting point for discussing your catalogue and customer journey.

Agree the essentials

What the proposal covers

Pages, content and visual design

An agreed page list, content structure, responsive designs and reusable layouts. We decide who writes and approves the copy and who supplies photographs, branding and product information. You confirm that supplied material can be used.

Mobile use and accessible interactions

Layouts are checked on smaller screens, with readable text, keyboard controls and clear form feedback. Performance and basic search discoverability include image sizing, page titles, descriptions and meaningful links; search rankings are not guaranteed.

How you make updates

We choose an editing approach around the changes you expect to make. A content management system may suit frequent updates; a simpler site may use agreed developer support. Training or handover guidance is included where agreed.

Domain, hosting and ownership

We identify who owns the domain, who manages hosting and which accounts and materials are handed over. Third-party licences and subscriptions have their own terms. These responsibilities and costs are recorded in the proposal.

Moving from an existing website

We map important pages, content and enquiry routes before launch. The scope identifies redirects, any content or product migration, backups, access requirements and launch checks. Email and other connected services are considered before changes are made.

After launch

Initial delivery and ongoing care are separate parts of the agreement. Care can cover updates, content changes and routine checks. Its scope, costs and response arrangements are agreed rather than assumed.

Useful details

Before we start

How much will the website cost?

The proposal reflects page and content scope, design requirements, commerce or booking features, integrations and migration. Hosting, third-party subscriptions and ongoing care are identified separately where applicable. We prepare a project-specific proposal after discussing those requirements.

Do I need all the content ready?

You can enquire before everything is ready. We identify the copy, photographs and other materials needed, decide who provides each item and agree review points. Missing content may affect the plan.

Can I update the website myself?

Yes, where an editing system is included in the agreed scope. We discuss what you need to update and choose an approach that fits, with handover guidance or training as agreed.

Who owns the site and domain?

The proposal sets out ownership, account access, handover and any third-party licence restrictions. If you already own a domain or hosting account, we review how to work with it before recommending a change.

What if the scope changes?

We review the new request, explain its effect on cost and timing and agree the change before proceeding. The original scope remains the reference for delivery and acceptance.

Is ongoing support included?

Only the support described in the proposal is included. Ongoing care is available by agreement, with specific tasks, responsibilities and costs rather than an unlimited commitment.
